Good Friday through Easter Sunday is an amazing time of year for Christians all over the world, as these days represent the cornerstone of our beliefs. This is a time to spend with family and friends as we worship the Lord together. As you position yourself to become extra sensitive to this holy time, you will see the anointing of Jesus Christ fall upon your life in greater measure than ever before.
As many of you know, this ministry teaches about the soul and how our souls can become wounded through sin and trauma. Once our souls are wounded, it affects every part of our life, our internal peace and our health. 3 John 2 says we will prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers.
Every single one of us has been wounded by sin or by trauma. For example, Job's soul was wounded by trauma. In chapters one and two in the book of Job, we see that he had been traumatized by a series of events that ranged from everything he owned being stolen by raiders, to his children being killed by a whirlwind that caused the house to come down upon them all. Those events wounded Job's soul. We see the proof of this through Job's own words, as he repeatedly speaks about the bitterness he feels in his soul because of those traumatic events.
Every person on the face of the planet has dealt with one, if not numerous traumas in their life. Those traumas caused the soul to become wounded. Once the soul is wounded, it affects every area of our lives including our emotional well-being, reactions, responses, decisions, finances, relationships and physical health.
Sin is another thing that can wound the soul. When you sin against yourself or someone sins against you, that sin can literally wound you in your inner man. Psalm 41 says “O God, heal my soul for I have sinned against thee.” The psalmist had a revelation that he not only sinned and needed to be forgiven of that sin, but now that sin had wounded his soul and his soul literally needed to be healed.
The Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, which means every person on the planet is wounded in their soul because of sin.
How do we heal the soul once it gets wounded? The healing comes through the Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The first step is to apply the blood that Jesus shed at Calvary. Apply it on every sin that would ever wound the soul. The blood that Jesus shed on the cross is for the sin that wounded us. Whenever you read about the blood in the Bible, it speaks on the blood atoning for sin. The blood washes away every sin that could ever wound our souls.
However, after the blood washes away the sin, there is still a consequence and sin can leave a wound behind. That wound is allowing us to be sick, to be financially broke, to divorce, to have problems in relationships.
The good news is there is a power called dunamis that comes through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Philippians 3:10, Paul said, “I want to know Him (meaning Christ) and the power of his resurrection.” The word “power” is the Greek word dunamis, which means "to be excellent of soul!" Dunamis is the power that heals our souls of every wound caused by sin. When we partake of both the blood that comes from the cross, and the power (or dunamis) that comes through the resurrection, we will get a complete healing in our souls of every wound that would beset us, which causes us to be prospered and be in health even as our soul prospers.
This weekend is a powerful weekend—a time for your soul to be healed. There are extra levels of anointing and power available now for us to be healed in our inner man. I invite you to meditate on the Cross, to partake of the blood that Jesus shed for us. Decree that the blood is washing away every sin that ever wounded you. Decree the blood is going back through generations, to where sin happened back in your family line. Believe that the blood is flowing through you and your family line causing a healing of every sin and every trauma that would ever wound your soul.
Then, on Easter Day - Resurrection Sunday - partake of the power (or dunamis) that comes through the resurrection. Jesus won that power for us through his victory over the tomb, and when you apply it to your soul and decree that your soul is filled with Dunamis, your inner man will become what Dunamis means – to be excellent of soul.
Paul prayed in Ephesians 3:16 that we would be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power (or dunamis) in our inner man. The words “inner man” mean the soul. Paul was praying that our souls would be strengthened and reinforced with Dunamis because he knew what Dunamis means - to be excellent of soul.
This Easter Sunday, know that there is extra power, a new level - a higher level of anointing available for you to reach. Grab ahold of it with your faith and apply it to your soul. Know that Dunamis is present on this very special day, Resurrection Day! You can decree that Dunamis indeed will heal you of every wound that came from trauma and from every sin you or your family have ever committed or that any one committed against you.
May you and your family be highly blessed and may you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.
