ARE YOU A GIANT SLAYER?
 
We will always have challenges that we face; Situations in the natural that, when you look at it, you say, “there’s no way”. That’s where Faith comes in, and we rise up on the wind and the wings of His Holy Spirit, and His breathe awakens the giant slayer in all of us!
 
What Giants are you facing? Get equipped today!
 
In January 2013 I had the privilege and honor to preach for Patricia King at her ‘Plunge’ event. The word was this:
 
In Isaiah 54:2-4 the Word decrees to: Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. For you will spread abroad to the right hand and to the left; and your offspring will possess the nations and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. Fear not, for you shall not be ashamed; neither be confounded and depressed, for you shall not be put to shame……
 
David, a young man destined for greatness beyond any dream one could have for their son, began his ministry.
Goliath, a Philistine giant from Gath, was 9 feet - 9 inches tall and defied Israel during a war between the Philistines and Israel. Young David kills him famously with a slingshot and a stone (1 Samuel 17:50). He cut off the giants head.
The name Goliath means to uncover or to go into exile.
The story goes on to where for 40 days and 40 nights this giant taunted the King’s army. Due to the giants stature, Israel’s army was not stepping into this battle. Someone equipped needed to Raise a War Cry!!
David stepped in and defended the honor of God with one obscure weapon, a slingshot, and a few stones.
From the beginning the mandate was just this: to destroy the enemies that were in the land; the Amorites and there like [I call it the ‘ite’ factor].
 
Years later God had another young man to fight and go possess the land:
In Deuteronomy 3 there was King Og, and in his land the Giants fought for him. The Walls of the city were as high as the eye could see, and iron bars were fortified everywhere. The fortress looked impenetrable. In the natural the mission looks impossible but, when you’re equipped and follow the voice of God, your faith begins to build up. After Joshua and his army destroyed 60 cities, their biggest challenge was yet to come.
 
Joshua was nurtured and trained by Moses, and he learned how to stay in the presence of the Lord. This is our key. Joshua could pull on the weapons he had in his arsenal.
Jeremiah 50:25 decrees: The Lord has opened his arsenal and brought out the weapons of his wrath, for the Sovereign Lord Almighty has work to do in the land.
They destroyed the city and took out The Giants / destroyed The Walls of the city /and the ‘ites’ were taken a city at a time. All throughout the Bible we see that there are giants in the land.
 
AMORITES were Giants (Amos 2:9). Anak was the Father of three giants (Joshua 15:13-14; 21:11).
ANAKIM is a race of Giants (Numbers 13:28-33; Deuteronomy 1:28; 2:10; 9:2).
ANTEDILUVIANS were Giants among ASHTAROTH, The capital city wher Bashan Giants lived at (Joshua 12:4).
EMIMS is a race of giants (Genesis 14:5; Deuteronomy 2:10,11).
GATH ANAKIM is a race of giants, inhabitants of Anakim (Joshua 11:22).
SABEANS Giants among Cush (Isaiah 45:14).
ZAMZUMMIMS A race of giants (Genesis 14:5; Deuteronomy 2:20,21).
 
Again, we will always have challenges that we face; situations in the natural that, when you look at it, you say, “there’s no way”. That’s where Faith comes in, and we rise up on the wind and the wings of His Holy Spirit, and His breathe awakens the giant slayer in all of us!
 
No matter how big your circumstances may look, God will send someone to you to help you in your time of crisis. Remember not only who you are, but that you are more than a conquer through Christ Jesus! Romans 4:17 decrees to be “Speaking those things that are not as though they are”. God’s Word is the stone, and my mouth is the slingshot, to take down the giant.
 
Listen, whatever giants you are facing today, pray and ask the Father to teach you how to stay in His presence; in that secret place. That is where our true victory lies, so that the impossible circumstances will become defeated.
